今天是第一天的國際課程--Peter Ompir風格

Peter Ompir是非常具有影響力的美國彩繪畫家

Peter Ompir was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1904. His real name was Charles Burns. Peter was trained in fine art. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and at the National and American Art Academies.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) he began his professional career in the middle of the Depression and quickly found that there was very little money available for people to use in purchasing fine art. "I turned to painting anything I could get my hands on from cigarette boxes to anything old or new. I sold them through an agent," Peter told an interviewer in the 1970s. Soon antique dealers and major department stores were clamoring for the work of this talented painter.

His masterful use of color and his designs, primarily of fruits, birds; rosters and men in colonial garb delighted collectors from the beginning of his career and still attract attention today.

We are very lucy to invite Dave come to teach again. It it truth that the market of Decorative painting in Taiwan is growing. We have more new students come to the seminar this year. We did have wonderful time to study Peter Ompir with Dave.
There is a small exhibation of David's paintings. Some for seminar pieces, some for fans's collection. We all love those new technique.
When students started to paint the first three steps, they were content and all caught up . But when they painted the most casual hightlight, they could not do that from the begining. More practicing and remind them not to put too many storks , they all did a good job. Everyboddy were happy!!!
We have 8 more days classes, I am so excited that I can seat beside David , watching him how to paint and translate to everyone. This way I can remember and understand why and how to paint all these paintings. That is the best way to grow for any painters.

Having a successful seminar, good friends are very important. Lan (first photo , back right side of David) is a big fans of David, she encourage many of her students to sign up the seminar. There are over than 16 students came from her studio. She is a very gentle lady ,excellent painter and teacher.

Amy is always promoting my classes and encourage my students to take more lessons from me , her classmates come to take my special event and any active I made. They are my treasure. I am very appreciate many good friends and students who make my life so wonderful we all get improvement throught teaching. This is the most amazing thing that we do what we love and make living also. Futher more is more people join our group and do what we do, shareing experience and knowledge.
Some students came from Hong Kong, there are more people are interested on painting. The painting market in China will grow soon.
Aren't we very lucky to join a lovely group???
